Although there are many weight loss supplements on the market today, health professionals agree that none is safe for children under 18. In fact, many may end up hurting rather than helping his son.
The only true way (and tested) for your child to lose weight is through diet and exercise. There is no "magic pill" that will melt the weight that many companies want you to believe.
Diet
If your child is overweight, more likely than other family members are well and they can also benefit from the evolution of a healthy diet. The key to getting your child to lose weight is to make small changes, almost a sensitive feeding everyone. Do not point your child by providing him / her with your own diet! This only serves to undermine their self-esteem, which may already be low because of their weight.
Move your family to a healthier lifestyle first have everyone at the table to eat as a family, and not in front of the television or in your room. Studies have shown that children who eat with their families are less likely to be overweight.
Make it easy for your child to eat fruit and vegetables. Start with a bowl of apples and oranges on the table all day. Or keep lime, vegetable bites with a healthy dip in the refrigerator.
Then start to gradually decline over drinks and soft drinks (including diet and fruit punch are not good for them) sweet. Begin by cutting at the rear by one of the first week, two weeks the second, etc. until your child does not take at all. Encourage your child to drink water instead.
Make sure your child has time for breakfast. Your mother was right - is the most important meal of the day, but many children do not eat. As paradoxical as it may seem, skipping breakfast leads to weight gain.
Exercise
The first step to get your child more exercise is to limit the time spent watching television or playing video games. Instead, use this time to do physical activities such as playing outside or participating in a sport or go for a family walk. Geocaching is a fun game for children of all ages (and adults too) sport. Physical activity should be fun and you will meet resistance to.
Another way to get your children interested in eating healthy is to have them participate in meal planning and grocery stores. Not only do they learn what foods are healthy, but exercise is done simply walk around the grocery store and a sense of ownership of aid.
